So, we’re back about to go at it. Classes start next week. And I can’t wait!
This summer’s been a drag. I made some big changes in my life; but sometimes change can be painful. Oh well…as long as you wake up looking down at the grass (as opposed to up), I guess it’s all good.
I’m looking at a [relatively] easy semester this Fall, teaching only three classes. Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be a bear, though. I’ve got a 9:05-11:05 class, followed by a 5:00-6:50 class. Ugh. Parking here is worse than it’s ever been, so that’ll be interesting.
I’ve got meetings scheduled for the next two days, which is seriously cutting in to the remodeling of the home office. But, oh well…I’ll get it done. I’m replacing the aging open-case primary machine with a new Dell tower that ought to last at least five years. I hope. God knows, I’m paying enough for it. But the open-case machine is taking up a ton of space, that could be better utilized. I was surprised to see, though, that the video graphics card I’ve been using still goes for $450.00 (https://www.amazon.com/MSI-380-GAMING-Graphics-Card/dp/B00ZPOBI0M). It’s four years old, at least…very surprising. So, I’m not sure what to do with it. Maybe a DIY-minded student would be interested in buying it
Well, that first meeting is coming up, so I gotta shag.
