The roads I’ve traveled are many and varied. As I ease in to middle age, I’m finding myself to be more reflective than ever. Nursing the bruises of a long life of hard knocks, I guess this is my attempt to find meaning, a lá Frankl, minus the concentration camp. For those of y’all who choose to ride this train with me, welcome!
For any chance visitor who may not know me, but for some reason still cares, I’ve been a student, gas station attendant, student, pizza delivery guy, student, gas station attendant (again), soldier, student, gas station attendant (for the last time), 911 dispatcher, student, manual laborer, student, security guard, student, tech support, deputy sheriff, student, police officer, student, student, and (finally) lecturer. I have an A.S in Police Science; B.S. degrees in Criminal Justice/Criminology & Computer and Information Sciences; a MA in Education, and a MS in Computing (IT). Currently, I’m working at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. I’m teaching Web Design and Development and System Administration…and love it! Thinking about pursuing a PhD. I dunno. Sometimes, it just seems logical; others, a little over-the-top.
In some ways, I’m very opinionated, though not to the I’ll-kick-your-ass-if-you-don’t-agree-with-me extreme. Everyone has a right to their opinions, regardless of how silly and childish they may be. Even me. There are other things, however, about which I have no opinion and will happily leave the debate up to those who care.
